Ever since I finished that Paper Heart Contest entry ([link]), I've been ablaze with motivation to finish this and that and have been spawning new ideas for art left and right. So much so, that's it's getting hard for me to sleep. Awesome.

But what's not awesome.

Since I've been on dA, I've seen people come and go. I've never really understood why until about now. I'm really starting to lose faith in the community here on dA. I'm not going to go deep into detail, but this site is just disappointing as far as feedback goes. They should really make it so that the artist can choose whether or not people can fave their work without commenting, you know? It's really annoying to get an inbox full of faves and no kind of critique whatsoever.

But, I brought that up because I'm thinking about moving all my anthro stuff to FA, YS, and VCL only, and leave this gallery open to... err... other things, I guess?

But yeah.

Um, I still have all my commission slots open, and I'm going to only change the prices once I fill those slots. So~

Anyways! I've been really stoked with PS lately! The pen tool is now officially my friend! I absolutely love the damn thing! Been testing out new coloring techniques, one of which is going to be included as a digital coloring option after I get those other slots filled.

Well. School starts in about two weeks. Hopefully I'll be able to get a bunch of stuff in before then.

Oh, yeah, and I broke up with my fiance. Eh. What are you gonna' do?

I mostly draw anthro, but I can draw humans and animals as well. I don't mind drawing adult-rated commissions, either, but please understand that if it's including one of my characters, there are some situations I'd rather not draw them in.
Please don't ask me if "it's done," I'm a college student and I'm usually quite busy. Progress will be posted next to your name at the bottom of all journal entries.
DO NOT try to bargain prices with me. The current prices are actually only temporary, and they are LOW. But if there is something in my gallery similar to how you would like your commission that the samples posted here are not already similar to, I'd be happy to speak to you about it.
Money must be received upfront, preferably through PayPal. Once payment is received, I will note you and inform you that I have started working on your piece. I would prefer if you didn't send money/checks through the mail, that's really hazardous. D: If you really need to, then I will accept it, but note that it's not my fault if something happens to your money. Also, I DO NOT do refunds! I will do best to give you your money's worth, so for you to ask for a refund after hours and hours of work is unacceptable. (If you have a different payment alternative other than concealed cash/checks or paypal, note me about it and we'll discuss it.) :3
Feel free to post the commission in your own gallery, whether it be here, FA, SA, where ever. The only thing I ask is that you please just post my icon (:icon chinmyou: without spaces) or name (:dev chinmyou: without spaces) if it is on dA, or a link to my gallery here if it is on another site.

**Due Dates on pieces MUST be commissions applied for at least month in advanced. As I said, I'm usually quite busy, and you can't expect me to come up with a solid digital piece in 2 days. Due dates are for birthdays or other special occasions. If it's just a commission for yourself, you'd be better off just letting me work at a comfortable pace for best results. :3

Cleaned up my gallery, not all my pictures are in the "Featured" or main section of my gallery.

I'm in the process of making HUGE decisions, guys.

I know there's only a dedicated few of you (and I love you guys profusely), but I always feel the need to have to update you guys. <3

As for the decisions, I think I want to buy a subcription.

"OH GOD, CHIN, NOT A SUBSCRIPTION. NOW THE WORLD IS ENDING." *sarcasm*

Hardy har. Well, I have an EXTREMELY limited amount of money to spend, and as I explained to a couple of you, I may not be getting paid next semester because of that painting grade I got. I have to have C's or higher in order to continue getting my grants. I get about $1,500 the first month and then about $1,100 two months later each semester. That's A LOT of money to have to pay back... I've been going to school for two semesters, so... do the math.

And that doesn't even count the tuition they're paying for.

If an $8 subscription is a lot to me, think about how many fucking bricks I'm going to be shitting when the state asks me for $5,000+ back.

And don't ask me what I spent it on. *rubs face* That's a WHOLE other life crisis.

So, back to the thinking. The reason for pondering a subscription is because I need money, first of all, so I want to do commissions. Not that I could ever make 5 grand, though, lol. But I -would- eventually be able to buy a tablet, maybe a laptop, and definitely some nice art supplies to step up my game.

Basically, what I'm trying to say is... this could be a gamble. I could buy a subscription and promote myself, and make money doing commissions and be okay. But I might spend the LAST of the money I have with no one to even give me any business whatsoever. Of course, I could always just do commissions -minus- spending any real money... I don't know, but do you see what I'm getting at? I'm really trying to make a plan here.

This sucks. I want a tablet.

Oh, by the way. I'm not posting anymore comic pages unless they're completely done. It's really confusing, and if it's not done, no one wants to read it ANYWAYS, so... pbbt. Check out page one, I updated it this morning. It's all cleaned and sparkling and not such and eye sore to look at.
